outfit post: WTF

Most outfit posts are in celebration of cute clothes and fun combinations but I decided to devote this outfit post to wtf randomness.
We have all had those days where we wake up at 8:16 when we needed to leave at around 8. So this is what I pulled together on the fly while running out the door:The t-shirt I slept in last night, a stray cardigan and a pencil skirt. Weird porportions and clashing colors. Once I got to work and looked at myself I decided I had to document the awfulness that is my outfit. Yay for a navy t-shirt paired with a black skirt!

"Fist Pump" Anyone?

It's true you can't turn anywhere these days without seeing or hearing something about MTV's new reality goldmine Jersey Shore. Usually, at this point in the blog I would recap what the concept of the show is, but once again with these reality shows there really isn't one. It is just a birds eye view into a handful of 20 somethings living it up at the Jersey Shore over the summer. Add lot's-o-alcohol, clubbing, the ocean, raging hormones, and some "fist pumpin" and you have a seriously entertaining show.

Already the show has seen it's fair share of controversy. There was the famous "Snooki gets sucker punched" episode....and not some chick fight either....she was clobbered in the face by a dude. MTV didn't actually air the "punch", but it was not hard to find the footage on YouTube.....go ahead and go watch it, you know you want to.

Not so surprisingly there is a member of the cast that has openly discussed having plastic surgery. JWoww (yes, that is how you spell it) bought herself breast augmentation for her 21st birthday. She states that she really didn't "need" to go bigger, but she is extremely happy with the result and would do it again. Even cast member Snooki said she can't quit looking at JWoww's augmented breasts stating, "I keep staring at JWoww's boobs and I'm like, 'I want a boob lift,'" Snooki says. "I'm definitely looking into a lift." Well, Snooki if you do ever decide to get that lift....we know a good doctor....wink, wink! :)

decor galore

I usually don't think too much about interior design. I figure that until I have a house, I don't want to invest too much into stuff that I will just be moving from place to place every year or so. What if I buy expensive furniture and it doesn't fit the next place I go? What if I spend money and time painting and I just leave it to be painted over by the next tenant?

But since I'm moving to a nice new apartment in less than two weeks, the decor bug has bitten me. This apartment is kind of fancy and a big upgrade from where I am now, so maybe I need to actually put effort into it's design.

This last picture makes me realize that I'm not sure where I'm going to do my hair and makeup at the new apartment. My current apartment has a built in vanity.

Ahh so much to do in two weeks! I may be pulling out my hair very soon. By the way, I have no idea where most of these pictures are from, I've just been collecting them over time. But I am pretty sure I stole a lot of them from my dearest Carly at Consider Me Addicted.
