Emmys 2011: Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland in Christian Siriano
Normally I would be freaking out about a teenager wearing both hooker heels and a slit up to there, but then I saw what her 13 year old co-star wore and this really is just fine to me in comparison. Still looking for a pic of that dress.

Emmys 2011: Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum in Christian Siriano
I love me some Heidi Klum. And I really love me some Christian Siriano. So I really really wanted to love this look. But I don't. I'm fine with the length, short to the Emmys is a-okay with me (as long as it's not too short). And I love a ruffle, but there's just so much ruffle. And the color is so bland. I feel like it's a sad quincinera dress she grabbed off some poor 15 year old on her way to the show. And don't even get me started on Seal's bare chest. Skeevers!!!

My First Christian Siriano Piece

I've neglected you. Sorry. I'm still sifting through my 8 million San Fran pics, but here's a quick post to tide you over.

Y'all know how much I love Project Runway alum Christian Siriano. His style just is all the glam and out there-ness (not a word but I'm going with it) that I love. I've been dying to get something of his for a while. But clearly not the designer stuff. But also not the Payless stuff. Sorry, Payless, not gonna happen. But lucky for me, he has a maternity line. So, per Laura's request, here's me in my very first Christian Siriano piece. It's not my favorite top of all time but it'll do.

Fierce Mamas by Christian Siriano, was $68, sale $33.90 @

Emmy WarmUp - Lame-o Creative Arts Emmys

I'm gearing up for the Emmys on Sunday, but to whet my red carpet whistle, I thought I'd blog about the Creative Arts Emmys. You know, the sad awards show no one ever watches. Well, apparently no one attends them either, so after all my internet searching, I only found FIVE pictures for you. But here goes:

David Burtka (l) and partner Neil Patrick Harris (r)
Guys. Tuxes. Blah blah blah. Extra points for expecting twins. A.

Jon Hamm
Guy. Tux. Blah blah blah. Minus points for that ridiculous grin. B

Elizabeth Mitchell
Hair is pretty. Makeup is pretty. Dress color is meh. B-
Okay, and this last pic is four pics in one, because it was all I could find.

left to right: Mel B, Kristin Chenoweth, Kathy Griffin, Chelsie Hightower

Mel B - sophisticated, simple, and pretty. B+

Kristin Chenoweth - love the hair. Hate the dress. It's too short and ill fitting. Just because she's really short doesn't mean she can wear a dress that tiny. C-

Kathy Griffin - KGrif usually dresses like a trainwreck, poor thing. But this dress is a knockout! I love it. It's an unexpected color and print, and even love that it has that little bit of sleeve. A

Chelsie Hightower - I'm pretty sure she got this dress from the Banana Republic sale bin. Not appropriate for the red carpet, even a crappy red carpet like the Creative Arts Emmys. F

Christina Hendricks in Christian Siriano
Oh. My. God. I am in heaven. Drama. Oomph. Pleats. Ruching. I love me some Christian Siriano, and I especially love me some Christian Siriano when it's on the knockout curves of Miss Christina Hendricks. LOVE. A+

Hope that gets your red carpet juices going for Sunday. Bring on the Emmys!
