Seventh Generation Free & Clear Diapers!

Today we have a very exciting giveaway. Well, at least for a diaper-buying mama like me. The kind folks at Seventh Generation are giving away their Free & Clear Diapers.

When BabyWP was on her way, I wanted to be a cloth diapering mama. Alas, I have a crappy apartment washer dryer which I can barely rely on to get my regular clothes clean, let alone poopy diapers. Cloth diapers were sooooo not happening.

I only had one choice, as far as my green leaning self was concerned - Seventh Generation Diapers.

Free & Clear diapers do not include chlorine processing, fragrances, latex and petroleum based lotions. In an effort to contribute less overall landfill waste and continue to ensure a premium standard of absorbency, the new Free & Clear diapers have been redesigned with a lighter-weight core. With processed chlorine-free wood pulp in Free & Clear diapers, Seventh Generation also makes certain that no chlorine is released into the environment during the totally chlorine-free (TCF) whitening process of the diapers and training pants.

And when I'm putting something on my precious little one, being free of chemicals is VERY important to me. Wouldn't want anything to happen to this cute little pumpkin. Not to mention the scent of scented diapers is really gross. Scent-free for me please!

Seventh Generation has also reduced the size of the diapers’ plastic packaging, meaning that each pack now contributes even less overall landfill waste than before. In fact, Seventh Generation Free & Clear diaper packaging can now be recycled at local supermarkets where plastic bag recycling collection boxes are available.

And, the cherry on my eco-diaper cake, they are wonderfully absorbent. That's very important when you wear super cute outfits like this.

Seventh Generation Free & Clear for BabyWP!

And because I'm so nice, and because the people of MyBlogSpark and Seventh Generation are so nice, I'm giving away a packet of Seventh Generation Free & Clear Diapers in the size of your choice. Hey, who can say no to free diapers??!

Just leave a comment saying what you love about eco-conscious baby products and with a way to get in contact with you - email, twitter handle, etc. - and winner will be posted on Friday.

In addition, you can visit http://bit.ly/seventhgendcoupon to download a printable coupon for $2.00 OFF any ONE Seventh Generation Baby Product (Diapers, Training Pants, or Wipes)! Not gonna lie, I love me some diaper coupons.

This was a compensated review. Seventh Generation provided me with the free product, information, and giveaway through MyBlogSpark. All opinions, however, are my own.

EWP's Favorite Things: Envirosax

I am a HUGE HUGE fan of reusable bags. A) I heart the planet and like to help out. B) When you shop as much as I do, the shopping bag build up can really get out of hand.

I had a few reusable bags but they were kinda bulky to carry around (though sturdy and perfect for a big grocery trip). Enter: Envirosax. In addition to being totally adorable in a bunch of fun prints, they roll right up into a little 1inch x 3 inch roll. I stick a couple in each of my purses whenever I leave the house. You never know when you might need one. I use them ALL the time. And you should too!

Random images I like today

Brought to you by the letter green.
Yes, I know that makes no sense.
Happy St. Patrick's day! A day that I'm almost guaranteed some free drinks because of my hair. It's an unwritten redhead rule.
How genius is the idea of using Lucky Charm's marshmallows for St. Patrick's day cupcakes?!

New Year's Resolutions "Bad for Your Health"?

Happy New Year!

As the first post in 2009, we think it is important to say "out with the old, and in with the new". What are your New Year's resolutions? A recent article in the BBC News hit the nail on the head. They mentioned that a mental health institution has stated that new year's resolutions may be bad for your health.

"In 2009, instead of making a New Year's resolution, think positively about the year to come and what you can achieve.", the BBC reports.
Instead of easily broken resolutions, the charity has suggested a few steps to improve all-round mental health in 2009:

* Being active - exercise releases endorphins and even a gentle stroll is beneficial for mental well-being
* Going green - evidence has shown that connecting with nature can boost moods
* Learn something new - it will keep minds stimulated and give confidence
* Give back to the community - it can be just as rewarding for you as those you choose to help

Cheers!!
