For my everyday pieces I had been shopping at Banana and J. Crew, but I'm getting tired of everyone having the same clothes, so I've made Club Monaco and Anthropologie my new go to everyday clothes stores. They're around the same price point, but not nearly as trafficked. And, honestly, Anthropologie has the cutest dresses around. I'm in dress heaven every time I go in, and I have to use every ounce of my strength to not buy every dress they have.
I stopped by my new go to store the other day and walked out with some pretty cute finds, if I do say so myself.
I'm a cardigan-aholic. I love 'em. It really helps with this never can tell what's going to happen Chicago weather. Cold? Throw on a cardigan. Warm? Take the cardigan off. It's all about layers, people. And this particular layer is adorable and feminine. Look at that lattice work. *sigh*
I also needed some new walk around the city clothes for this spring/summer. I was tres bored with my old walk around dresses. I just needed something with a little more styling and fitting to it. So I went with this little number, which is way cute in person, and fits my curvy figure very well. Even looks totally adorable with my go to Aerosole sandals that I basically live in for the summer.
Lastly I needed a dress for a beach wedding I have this summer. I have casual beachy dresses - but not nice enough for a wedding. And I have wedding dresses - but too fancy for the beach. It was quite the conundrum. I found the most adorable dress that looks nothing like anything I own, which makes me happy, and according to my husband "looks very Parisian." Alas, I couldn't find it on the website, which is weird because it wasn't on sale or last season or anything. Oh well, maybe I'll take a picture for you one day.
And while I'm obsessing over Anthropologie dresses, thought I'd give you some of my favorites. Why not try one out and jazz up your summer wardrobe?
